Miss Dior

"Make me a perfume that smells like love," said Monsieur Dior when he asked Paul Vacher to compose the fragrance that became a cult favorite in 1947.

“Miss Dior was born of one of those evenings in Provence, when fireflies were out and green jasmine served as a counterpoint to the melody of the night and the earth…”

Miss Dior was born at the same time as the New Look. In a celebration of femininity, this fragrance pays special tribute to the couturier's adored sister, Catherine Dior, nicknamed Miss Dior – a member of the Resistance and an unparalleled flower producer with a unique strength of character.

Catherine Dior, circa 1940.

Collection Christian Dior Parfums, Paris

This iconic scent, in its distinctive houndstooth‑engraved bottle, has been constantly reinvented ever since. Continuing this floral odyssey, Miss Dior is also the name of a dress designed in 1949 and entirely embroidered with thousands of silk flowers – a 2021 version is shown here against a dreamlike backdrop created by French artist Eva Jospin, who has already worked on several poetic projects for the maison.

Combining nature and haute couture, this symbol of a fabulous destiny, which still today embodies the essence of love, has been reinterpreted by Monsieur Dior’s successors. This eternal passion inspired Shourouk Rhaiem, who created an infinitely precious piece that uses light to glorify this unique olfactory creation.
